  • Dogs For Kids This is a wonderful resource suggested to us by the children at The Brenham Community Center in Texas. Here you can get some great information on adding a new member to your growing family.
  • Choosing a new puppy  This is a nice starter guide of things that you should consider when you are thinking about getting a puppy.
  • Heartworm Society   Everything you ever wanted to know about heartworm disease can be found here!
  • National Animal Poison Control Center (ASPCA) This is the website of the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center. It includes a library, links to other sites, and phone numbers for the poison control center.
  • The Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) The Cat Fanciers' Association website has lots of pictures, as well as information on cat breeds, cat care, upcoming cat shows, and much more.
  • USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service The USDA maintains this website with information on a variety of animal health related topics, including the latest news on such things as Mad Cow Disease, foot and mouth disease, and many other things.
  • Vectra Flea Control This site is sponsored by Summit, the makers of new Vectra flea control for dogs and cats. It is loaded with information about fleas and flea control.
  • Trifexis Trifexis is a once-monthly tablet that kills fleas, prevents heartworm disease and treats and controls adult hookworm, roundworm and whipworm infections. And since it's beef-flavored, you can offer it as a treat.

  • American Veterinary Medical Association This site is a good starting point to learn more about a variety of topics in veterinary medicine.
  • American Association of Feline Practitioners The AAFP is like the American Medical Association for cat doctors, and has lots of good information regarding feline health
  • Pet's Best Insurance Provides valuable information for pets' health insurance plans 
  • American Kennel Club The AKC provides coverage on all accepted dog breeds, as well as information on registration, pedigrees, and dog shows
  • Veterinary Information Network VIN is the world's first and largest online veterinary community
  • Animal Health Foundation Non-profit organization sponsoring projects that promote animal well-being and the human/animal bond.
  • Animal Health Foundation Online Pet Memorials  Remembering your pets in an online memorial is a wonderful way to honor our bond to those we've lost. 
  • FDA Pet Health Information   This website is a source for pet information from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration provding timely, user-friendly public health information.
  • City of Torrance Animal Control The website for the animal control office for the city of Torrance.
  • Los Angeles County Animal Control  The website for the animal control offices of the Los Angeles County.
